Duffy, Hoffman & Goldsborough Named to AVCA All-Region Team

HUNTINGDON, PA.- The Juniata men's volleyball team placed three on the America Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) East All-Region Team that was announced this morning. Kevin Duffy III, Luke Hoffman, and Tyler Goldsborough all were selected. 

Duffy makes his fourth appearance on the all-region team. He tied for first in the Continental Volleyball Conference with a  .453 hitting percentage, was first in total blocks with 108, and was first in blocks per set at 1.09. He was 11th in total points with 296.0. Duffy is currently fourth in the country in hitting percentage at .452. He is sixth in the country in blocks per set at 1.091. 

This is Hoffman's first appearance on the all-region team. Hoffman is second in the conference in hitting percentage at .442, is second in total blocks with 84, third in service aces with 40, and 12th in total points at 285.5. He currently sits fifth in the country in hitting percentage.  

This is also Goldsborough's first appearance on the all-region team. He sits eighth in the conference in kills with 261, 10th in kills per set with 2.75, and is tied for eighth in service aces with 32. He led the team in kills, was second in service aces, and third in total blocks. 

This marks the Eagle's fifth, sixth, and seventh AVCA all-region nominees. The team was created in 2020. 

The Eagles will begin their quest for a National Championship this Friday at home when they host Baldwin Wallace in the first round of the NCAA Tournament at 6:30.
