HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata men's volleyball team had five players named to the Continental Volleyball Conference team that was announced today.
Kevin Duffy III was named to the first team for the fourth consecutive year after another stellar season in the middle. He finished tied for first in the conference in hitting percentage at .467, first in total blocks with 99, and first in blocks per set at 1.10. He was 11th in total points with 269.5. Duffy has appeared on the all-conference team all five years of his career, making the third team as a first-year.
Joining him was Luke Hoffman, who made his first appearance on the first team and his second appearance on the all-conference team overall. Hoffman is tied for first with an identical .467 hitting percentage, is second in total blocks with 76, and third in service aces with 39. Hoffman made the all-conference second team last season.
Reese Ganter made the all-conference second team, his second appearance on the all-conference team in his career. He is second in the CVC in assists per set at 9.75 and third in assists with 731. Ganter made the all-conference second team as a freshman; he was also honored as the CVC Rookie of the Year.
Also making the second team was Tyler Goldsborough, making his second straight appearance on the second team and his third overall. He sits eighth in the conference in kills with 242, 10th in kills per set with 2.81, and 11th in service aces with 30. Goldsborough made the third team in his first year.
Maxwell Barr made the third team in his first year. He has tallied 147 kills, 19 aces, and 33 blocks so far this season.
The Eagles will take on Marymount in the CVC semifinals Friday on the campus of Washington and Lee. Game time is slated for 7:30 pm.
