LEXINGTON, Ky.- The Juniata men's volleyball team is ranked 11th in this week's AVCA Coaches Top-15 Poll after being ranked 13th in week one poll.
Over the weekend, the Eagles opened up CVC play. They traveled to Marymount (Va.) for a doubleheader in which they went 2-0.
In the first game against the Saints, the Eagles won, 3-0. Kevin Duffy (Carlisle, Pa. / Carlisle HS) (.667), Robert Bowling (Columbus, Ohio / Hilliard Darby) (.364) and, Max Cooley (Bethel Park, Pa. / Bethel Park H.S.) (.250) each tallied 11 kills. Duffy totaled seven block assists while Austin Goodsel (Corry, Pa. / Fort Leboeuf HS) added four block assists and 40 assists.
Juniata won the second match of the day, 3-1 against Marymount (Va.). Bowling totaled 16 kills while hitting .289. Will Phelan (Saegertown, Pa. / Saegertown H.S.) totaled 14 kills while hitting .333 and added three block assists. Goodsel recorded 47 assists.
Bowling was also named CVC Athlete of the Week for his performance.
