Team Effort Leads No. 1 Eagles Over Eastern Mennonite

HARRISONBURG, Va. – It was a complete team effort from No. 1 Juniata College men's volleyball Friday night as the Eagles took down Continental Volleyball Conference (CVC) rival Eastern Mennonite University (EMU) 3-1 (25-17, 25-13, 25-27, 25-17).  Juniata (19-3) hit .500 as a team and dominated EMU in nearly every statistical category.

 

Sophomore Chad Albert (Cranberry Township, Pa./Seneca Valley) led with a team-high 10 kills on 12 swings with no errors.  He hit .833 on the night and tied for the match-high of six blocks.  Sophomores Carlos Faccio (Guaynabo, P.R./San Ignacio) and Matt Elias (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) ran the Eagles offense.  Faccio earned a team-high 22 assists with Elias right behind him at 18.

 

The Eagles have won four straight matches and will be looking for their fifth at Marymount University on Saturday, March 22 in CVC action.  Match time is set for 7 p.m.
