HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Juniata College freshman outside hitter Ross Madden (Richmond, Va./Deep Run) had been named EIVA Hay Division Player of the Week, for the week ending March 6, 2011. 

Juniata played only one match last week, but Madden turned in a dominating performance while leading the Eagles to 3-1 win over Harvard University. 

Madden had a season and career high 18 kills while hitting .571 in the win over the Crimson. He also logged four digs, two blocks, and a service ace against Harvard. 

Madden is the third recipient of EIVA Hay Division Player of the Week honors this season; senior outside hitter Chris Vrooman (Baden, Pa./Ambridge Area) won the award twice previously this season. 

Juniata (12-9, 4-0 EIVA Hay) returns to action on Saturday, Mar. 19, when it travels to Fairfield, Conn., to face Sacred Heart University in a Hay Division matchup.
