Men's Track and Field Competes at Coach I Open

LANCASTER, Pa.- The Juniata men's track & field team competed at the Coach I Open hosted by Franklin & Marshall, Saturday.

In the 3000m run, Vinnie Caroselli (Upland, Pa. / Milton Hershey) (8:58.03), Alexander Jones (Burlington, N.J. / Burlington Township) (9:14.21), Erik Juengling (Lancaster, Pa. / J.P. McCaskey) (9:31.74), and Jeremy Rissler (New Holland, Pa. / Garden Spot) (10:04.97) finished fourth, ninth, 22nd, and 41st, respectively. With Caroselli's fourth place finish in the 3000m, he moves to third all-time in the Juniata record book. 

In the 60m dash, Noah Zolnak (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona Area HS) finished 39th with a time of 7.70 while Siddiq Smouse (Claysburg, Pa. / Claysburg-Kimmel) finished 46th with a time of 8.01. Thomas Cope (Fogelsville, Pa. / Allentown Central Catholic) finished 46th in the 800m coming in with a time of 2:34.72. In the mile, Evan Ulrich (Homer, N.Y. / Homer) finished 13th with a time of 4:38.50 and Peter D'Amico (Hummelstown, Pa. / Hershey) finished 14th coming in with a time of 4:38.63. Evan MacMullin (Haverhill, Mass. / Saint John's Prep HS) finished 27th in the 400m dash, crossing the line at 55.47.

In the 200m dash, Zolnak finished 36th (25.90) and Smouse finished 45th (27.19). In the distance medley relay, the team of Ulrich, MacMullin, D'Amico, and Desmond O'Donovan (Philadelphia, Pa. / Science Leadership Academy) finished 13th clocking in at 12:10.86. 

In the field, Brenden Nauman (Myerstown, Pa. / ELCO) placed 35th in the weight throw marking 7.86m.
