Three Eagles Score First Career Goal in Victory over Titans

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The men's soccer team returned victorious 5-0 after a road game at Westminster Saturday evening at the UPMC Sports Complex. 

The Eagles were able to get ahead of the Titans early as Gavin Rauhutfoundd the lower left corner in the fifth minute of the game for his first career goal. Wanting to share the wealth, Rauhut found Malvin Madzimbamuto in the box for a goal in the eleventh minute to put the Eagles up 2-0. 

The first half finished with two more goals from Ian Edwards, who received it from Emmet Young back-to-back in the 38th and 44th minutes. Edwards not only scored his first career goal but managed to find both lower corners of the net to put the Eagles up 4-0 heading into the second half.

The second half saw the Eagles managing seven shots to the Titans' two. From the three shots on goal, Harshaan Grewal found the upper 90 for his first career goal in the 81st minute to get JC to five.

Axel Grater protected the net for the full 90 and had four saves on the day.

The Eagles face Thiel at the Westminster Tournament Sunday, September 4, at 1:00 pm.
