ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The men's soccer team fell 4-2 at Muhlenberg in their season opener Thursday evening at Moravian Academy stadium.
Both teams had a few opportunities in the first half, with Muhlenberg managing four shots to Juniata's two. Both goalies had one save.
The Mules scored early in the second half in the 46th minute. Victor Vandenbroek answered back with a free kick in the 50th minute to even the playing field. Muhlenberg answered back with two goals in the 59th and 62nd minutes.
Andrew Murta scored the Eagles' second goal in the 85th minute, but the Mules topped off their night with a fourth goal in the 86th minute.
The Eagles travel to Thiel Sunday, September 4, for a 1:00 pm game.
