TOWSON, Md.-  The Juniata men's soccer team suffered a 1-0 setback on the road at Goucher, Saturday afternoon at Beldon Field.  

It was a tight first half, with the Eagle holding a 4-3 edge in shots at the break. Each team managed one corner kick, and each goalie had to make one save. 

Nicholas Sinapius (Phoenixville, Pa. / Phoenixville) had lone shot on goal in the first half for JC, heading the ball on target in the 40^th minute and forcing the Gopher keeper to make a stop. 

In the second half, the Gophers burrowed through the Eagle defense, managing 11 shots, but only two of them were on frame. Goucher also had a 6-1 advantage on corners in the second half.  

In the 79^th minute, Goucher scored the game's lone goal and held the Eagles off in the final 11 minutes to get the win. 

Arun Subramanian (Metuchen, N.J. / Metuchen HS) made two saves in goal for Juniata. 

Juniata will take on McDaniel at home this Tuesday at 5:30.
