WILKES-BARRE, Pa.- The Juniata men's soccer team earned their second victory of the year, winning 2-0 on the road at King's, Saturday afternoon at McCarthy Stadium. 

The first half saw the Monarchs put pressure on the Eagle defense, as they got seven shots off, three of which required Axel Grater (Elizabethtown, Pa. / Lower Dauphin HS) to make three stops.  

Malvin Madzimbamuto (Oftringen, Switzerland / St Thomas More) had the first shot for JC in the 20thminute, and Lorenzo Mejia (Las Vegas, NV / Western High School) fired a low shot on frame in the final 13 seconds of the half, forcing the King's goalie to make a save. 

Less than two minutes into the second half, Sean Weiland (Frederick, MD / Governor Thomas Johnson High School) crossed the ball from the right side, Blake Cassel (Hummelstown, Pa. / Lower Dauphin) used his instep to take a one-timer that he rifled past the keeper to make it 1-0.  

In the 78th minute, Madzimbamuto ran onto a through ball from Fabian Garfias (Redwood City, Calif / Summit Prep) and beat the keeper to ice the games for the JC. 

Juniata is off again until next Saturday when they host Chatham, Saturday at 7:00.
