Men's Golf B and C Teams Concludes Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic

ALTOONA, Pa.- The Juniata deployed two teams once again on the final day of the Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic from the par 72 Sinking Valley Country Club. 

Juniata's Blue Team was made of Jaron Yoder, Eric Soccio, Colin Wible, Larry Singer, and Aaron Ryan. 

Ryan completed the team score on Sunday with a 92. He was the best individual finisher of the weekend from both Juniata teams by tying for 50th place. Wible had the best Sunday score for Juniata with an 81 to finish in 68th for the tournament. He went +3 on the front nine with a birdie on the par-four sixth hole. Soccio remained consistent, improving three strokes from yesterday with an 85 today, tying for 59th in his debut weekend. Singer had the team's third-best score with a 91, his exact score from Saturday to complete a 70th-place showing.  Yoder's Sunday saw him finish with a score of 100 and finish the weekend in 78th. 

The Blue Team's weekend score was 698, good enough for 13th place and one stroke away from Penn State Berks. 

Juniata's Gold Team consisted of Tyler Francfort, Nicholas McCann, Colby Starr, Mason Yeager, and Shawn Gamble. For the second straight day, Starr had the team's best score with an 86. He was two strokes back from Aaron Ryan, and he finished the weekend tied for 55th place. Francfort finished Sunday with a 91, while Yeager had a 92 that included a birdie on the par five 11th. The duo tied for 75th place. McCann completed the Sunday team score with a 98, and he ended his weekend with a birdie on the 18th hole and a 77th-place finish. Gamble finished Sunday with a 99 in 81st place. 

The Gold Team ended the weekend in 14th place with a score of 734. 

The Juniata men's golf team returns to competition for the one-day Dickinson Fall Invitational from the Carlisle Barracks Golf Course next Sunday.
