Men's Golf B and C Teams Open Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic

CRESSON, Pa.- Two of three Juniata men's golf teams competing this weekend took part in day one of the Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic from the Summit Country Club course, a par 72. 

The Eagles' Blue Team consisted of Colin Wible, Aaron Ryan, Larry Singer, Eric Soccio, and Jaron Yoder. Ryan led the way for Juniata, posting a 78 to finish six over par, going just two over par on the back nine. Ryan was tied for 14th from a field of 82. Soccio had the next-best score with 88 to finish tied for 61st. Singer and Yoder rounded out the team score with tallies of 91 (T-69th) and 92 (T-73rd), respectively. Wible ended the afternoon with a 99 in 78th. 

The Blue Team ended up with a team score of 349 to finish in 13th place. 

Juniata's Gold Team comprised Mason Yeager, Tyler Francfort, Shawn Gamble, Nicholas McCann, and Colby Starr.  

Starr led the way for the gold with an 86 to finish tied for 52nd place. McCann was next with a 90, tied for 67th. Yeager scored a 95 for a 76th-place result, while Francfort finished the team score with a 96 in 77th. Gamble was in 81st place with a score of 115.  

The Gold Team was 14th with a score of 367. 

These two teams will conclude the Mountain Valley Collegiate Classic tomorrow from the Sinking Valley Country Club, a par 72.
