Phillips Recognized Nationally for Outstanding Play

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Senior Caroline Phillips (Wilmington, Del./Concord) of the Juniata field hockey team received her second honor of the week when Synapse Sports placed her on their weekly honor roll.  The organization acknowledges top field hockey student-athletes from across the country.  The midfielder was one of 13 recognized from NCAA Division III for her outstanding play last week.

"Caroline has an intensity and passion that few players possess," said Juniata Head Coach Caroline Gillich.  "She is a warrior and whether it is a game or a practice you can count on her to leave it all on the field."

Phillips scored four goals in two games, two of which were game winners, and finished with nine points on the week.

She leads the team in points (24) and goals (11) and is among the goal leaders in the Landmark Conference.
