EWING, N.J. – Juniata College’s junior Angela Shaffer (Prospect, Pa./Slippery Rock) and Nicholas Bauer (Glen Ridge, N.J./Glen Ridge) competed in the TCNJ Last Chance meet in Ewing, N.J. and ended their runs towards the NCAA Division III National Championship Meet.
Shaffer hit 5’ 1/2” (1.54m) in the high jump to take second in the meet, while Bauer came in sixth in the long jump with a mark of 21’ 5¼” (6.69m).
Ceth Parker (Sabillasville, Md./Catoctin) and Jack Iosue (Manheim, Pa./Manheim Central) still have the opportunity to qualify for the national meet for marks achieved in earlier meets, as the qualifying deadline strikes on Friday, May 18 at midnight.
