Juniata Athletics Has Record Setting Day During the Forever Blue and Gold, Forever Juniata Giving Challenge

Juniata Athletics Has Record Setting Day During the Forever Blue and Gold, Forever Juniata Giving Challenge

HUNTINGDON, PA – The Juniata College Athletic Department would like to thank all of our alumni, parents, and friends who contributed to the success of the April 7 Forever Blue and Gold, Forever Juniata Athletics Giving Challenge. In 24 hours, Juniata Athletics received 1,206 gifts totaling $169,539 across all of our sports programs. This was the highest number of gifts to Juniata Athletics in a single day in our College's history.

"The success of the Forever Blue and Gold, Forever Juniata Athletics Giving Challenge serves as a source of pride for all of us - past, present, and future - and reflects, reminds, and reinforces the value of the athletic experience at Juniata.  The generosity of those that gave will directly impact our student-athletes, enhance our individual sports programs, and support the future of Juniata Athletics," remarked Greg Curley, Athletic Director, and Head Men's Basketball Coach.

A very special thank you to Shirley Knox, who's $25,000 gift made possible the prize money for our winning teams. We would also like to thank our 30 alumni and friends who issued individual challenges for their favorites teams. We are now excited to announce our top finishers in each category.

Although there is no prize money being awarded to the teams who raised the most money, each of our programs raised more than $500. Five teams raised more than $10,000, including Men's Basketball who raised $25,876, the most of any team. A special gift in memory of Men's Basketball Alumni, Jeff Ostrowski '84, made this possible.
