BETHLEHEM, Pa.- The Juniata women's tennis team fell on the road against Landmark Conference opponent Moravian 2-7 on Saturday evening.
Celia Navarro de Torres and Medina Yessenaliyeva earned a tiebreaker win in first doubles 8-7 (7-5). Charley Madlock and Marilyn Ogof fell 4-8 in second doubles, while Maggie Ackley and Shveta Kalathur lost third doubles 2-8.
Yessenaliyeva earned Juniata's lone win in singles, earning a 6-3, 6-3 first singles win. Navarro de Torres lost 7-5, 3-6, 1-0 (10-7) in second singles, while Madlock lost 2-6, 3-6 in third singles. Ogof lost fourth singles 1-6, 1-6, Kalathur fell in fifth singles 0-6, 0-6, while Ackley was defeated in sixth singles 2-8.
Juniata continues the weekend of Landmark Conference competition as they travel to Drew on Sunday.
