ORLANDO, Fla.- The Juniata women's tennis team lost 1-8 to Transylvania in their final match of the week at the UTSA National Campus.
Medina Yessenaliyeva and Celia Navarro de Torres were unsuccessful in first doubles, losing 2-8. Marilyn Ogof and Charley Madlock lost 1-8 in second doubles, while Shveta Kalathur and Marta Celebic 1-8 lost in third doubles.
Navarro de Torres picked up Juniata's lone win in second doubles 6-1, 6-2. Yessenaliyeva lost in first singles 2-6, 2-6, while Madlock lost in third singles 0-6, 1-6. Ogof was swept in fourth singles 0-6, 0-6, while Kalathur lost in fifth singles 2-6, 0-6. Celebic lost in sixth singles 3-6, 0-6.
The women's tennis trip end their trip to the UTSA National Campus in Orlando 1-2.
They'll play again next Saturday, March 23, at 1:00 pm, as they face Landmark Conference opponents Moravian.
