MEADVILLE, Pa.- The Juniata women's tennis team began the fall 2023 campaign with day one of the Allegheny Invitational on Saturday.
Juniata featured in four doubles matches and four singles matches in the invitational.
The team of Medina Yessenaliyeva and Celia Navarro de Torres made their Juniata debut, although they were defeated in two doubles matches. Marilyn Ogof and Lexi Turayev also competed in two matches, falling in both.
Yessenaliyeva was defeated 1-6, 1-6 in the singles competition, while Turayev lost 0-6, 1-6 in her match. Navarro lost 0-6, 0-6 in her match, and Ogof dropped her contest 3-6, 1-6.
The Eagles conclude the Allegheny Invitational on Sunday.
