HILTON HEAD, SC- Juniata women's tennis faced Nazareth College at Bluffton High School in Hilton Head, SC. The Eagles had little trouble with the Golden Flyers as the won 7-2.
In doubles competition, the pair of Heather Waring (San Antonio, TX/John Jay) and Rachel Yurchisin (Cleveland, OH/Padua Franciscan) won their match by the score of 8-1 at first doubles. The third doubles duo of Mitsuki Koh (Cupertino, CA/Monta Vista) and Samantha Hendricks (McVeytown, PA/Mifflin County) also won 8-1.
Singles play saw JC win five matches. Waring easily won her match with Jean McCarthy, 6-0, 6-0. Yurchisin and Emma Sebastian (Pittsburgh, PA/Upper Saint Clair) picked up wins in second and sixth singles 6-1, 6-2. Hendricks earned her fourth straight winning decision with a 6-2, 6-0 while Koh won her third straight with a 6-3, 6-2 decision over Adrienne Sharza.
Juniata ended the day with a 6:30 p.m. match with Rhodes College.
