BETHLEHEM, Pa.- The Juniata men's track and field wrapped up the Landmark Outdoor Track and Field Championships with day two of the event. Notably, Barrett Walters snagged his second podium of the weekend, going second place in the hammer throw, while Lincoln Riddle claimed second in the 400-meter dash, setting Juniata's second-best mark ever in the event.

Walters grabbed second in the hammer throw with a mark of 46.78 meters. Brenden Nauman followed in 11th place with a mark of 37.88 meters, while Luke Bittner finished in 17th place with a throw of 26.50 meters.

Riddle's 400-meter performance saw him log a 49.38 for silver in the event and silver in the Eagles' record book. He now stands 0.54 seconds behind the program record set by Timothy Breya at the 2010 Landmark Championships. His previous best was a 49.91, which was the program's third-best mark in the event.

The Eagles competed in five other track events on Sunday.

The team of John Redos, Riddle, Caleb Massare, and Zion Gomez competed in both the 4x100-meter relay and the 4x400-meter relay. Juniata ran well enough to finish in fifth place in the 4X100-meter relay with a 44.63. The 4X400-meter relay saw Juniata finish in seventh place with a time of 3:35.77.

Ellis Kline set a new personal best in the 3000-meter steeplechase, finishing in 13th place with a time of 11:25.98. He previously had a best mark of 11:37.26 set at the Coach P Invitational at Moravian in April.

Riddle was the last to make the cut for the 200-meter finals, where he finished in eighth place with a time of 23.24.

Massare finished in 14th from a field of 20 in the 400-meter hurdles with a time of 1:01.62.

Besides the hammer throw, the Eagles also had four members compete in the shot put, and one took to the triple jump.

Walters led the way for Juniata in the shot put, setting a new personal best with a 12.01-meter throw to claim eighth place from 20. His previous best was just one-hundredth of a meter shorter and set at Shippensburg's Mid-Week Meet this April. Redos followed in 12th place with a mark of 11.12 meters which is also a personal best for him. His previous best mark was a throw of 10.69 meters set at Susquehanna's Jim Taylor Invitational to open the season. Nauman logged a 10.26-meter throw to finish in 15th, while Bittner had a mark of 8.81 meters to claim 18th place.

Jordan Auman continued his strong weekend as he claimed seventh place in the triple jump and set a personal best in the event with a mark of 12.67 meters. His previous best was a mark of 12.22 meters set at the Ship Mid-Week Meet this April.

Juniata finishes the Landmark Outdoor Track and Field Championships, maintaining the same finishing position as 2022 but improving their total points year-on-year by 24 with a total of 47.

The conclusion of the Landmark Conference Outdoor Track and Field Championships marks the end of the Eagles' 2023 season. Seniors Nauman and Gomez conclude their time competing for Juniata.
