TOWSON, Md.- Juniata men's track and field junior thrower Barrett Walters has been named Landmark Athlete of the Week for Field Events for the second time this season following his strong performance in the Messiah Invitational.
Walters set one personal record on the weekend while finishing fourth in three events that he competed in. Walters set a personal best with his fourth-place hammer throw that went 48.37 meters. He then had a mark of 49.89 meters in the javelin and a mark of 40.33 meters in the discus throw.
The Juniata men's and women's track and field teams have a pair of meets this week. They first head to Shippensburg University for the Ship Mid-Week before heading to Moravian University on Friday and Saturday for the Coach P Invitational.
