Men's Track and Field Competes at Ship Mid-Week Invite

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa.- The Juniata men's track and field team competed at the Ship Mid-Week Invite hosted by Shippensburg University, Wednesday.

In the field, Daulton Snyder (New Oxford, Pa. / New Oxford) placed 21st in the long jump marking 5.25m. In the shot put, Thayer Phillips (New Oxford, Pa. / New Oxford) took ninth place marking 12.60m. In the discus, Phillips placed 13th marking 37.30m. 

In the 100m, Calvin Bembry II (Hagerstown, Md. / North Hagerstown) finished 18th with a time of 12.03 while Noah Zolnak (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona Area HS) finished 20th with a time of 12.14. In the 200m, Evan MacMullin (Haverhill, Mass. / Saint John's Prep HS) finished 15th (23.91) and Malcolm MacDermid (San Francisco, Calif. / Lick-Wilmanding) finished 24th (25.78). Andy Meci (Woodstock, N.Y. / Onteora) placed seventh in the 800m coming in with a time of 2:00.31. 

In the 3000m, Steven Glodek (Amberton, Pa. / Fannett-Metal) finished ninth crossing the line at 10:09.38. Brenden Gardner (Muncy, Pa. / Hughesville) finished 10th with a time of 16.28 in the 110m hurdles. 

The Eagles took second in the 4x100m relay with finishing time of 46.20. Juniata placed third in the 4x400m relay finishing with a time of 3:30.32. 

Juniata will compete in the Widener Invitational this weekend starting at 3:00PM, Friday.
