Men's Track and Field Competes at Bobcat Invitational

FROSTBURG, Md.- The Juniata men's track and field team competed in the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Frostburg State, Saturday. 

Brenden Gardner (Muncy, Pa. / Hughesville) was the top finisher for the Eagles as he took first in the 110m hurdles coming in with a time of 16.13. 

Andy Meci (Woodstock, N.Y. / Onteora) placed third in the 400m finishing with a time of 53.58. In the 1500m, Desmond O'Donovan (Philadelphia, Pa. / Science Leadership Academy) took second crossing the line at 4:14.27 while Peter D'Amico (Hummelstown, Pa. / Hershey) placed fourth coming in with a time of 4:16.76. Steven Glodek (Amberton, Pa. / Fannett-Metal) placed third in the 5000m with a time of 18:05.01. 

In the 200m, Gardner finished fifth (23.46) while Evan MacMullin (Haverhill, Mass. / Saint John's Prep HS) finished 9th (24.35), Noah Zolnak (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona Area HS) finished 10th (24.88), and Daulton Snyder (New Oxford, Pa. / New Oxford) finished 12th (25.14). In the 100m, Zolnak finished 13th coming in with a time of 12.11. Desmond O'Donovan (Philadelphia, Pa. / Science Leadership Academy) finished 11th (2:06.94) and D'Amico finished 13th (2:11.40) in the 800m. 

In the 400m hurdles, Malcolm MacDermid (San Francisco, Calif. / Lick-Wilmanding) finished fifth with a time of 1:02.00. The Eagles placed third in the 4x400m relay, with a time of 3:36.65. 

In the field, Gardner placed third in the high jump marking 1.70m. In the long jump, Snyder placed ninth marking 5.07m. Thayer Phillips (Cuddy, Pa. / South Fayette) placed third in the shot put marking 12.56m. In the discus, Thayer placed third marking 37.32m. Thayer earned another third place as he marked 41.28m in the hammer throw. 

Juniata competes in the Messiah Invitational, April 13th.
