SHIPPENSBURG, PA- The Juniata men's track and field team got two top 10 times at the Paul Kaiser Classic on Saturday. The event was hosted by Shippensburg University.
Matt Guetzlaff (Schnecksville, PA/Parkland) had the highest finish of fifth place in the 3,000 meter run. He had a time of 8:47.54. Conor Dimond (Summerhill, PA/Forest Hills) came in 11th (8:54.84). Krott placed sixth in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a finish of 10:20.68.
In field event, the Eagles also had two top 10 results. Nathan Chavis (Palmyra, PA/Palmyra) finished in a tie for eighth place with a four-meter measurement in the pole vault. Andrew Paterno (Waynesboro, PA/Waynesboro) came in 10th in the hammer throw with a toss of 41.56 meters. Jon Atland (York, PA/Central York) was 12th in the javelin with a distance of 46.64 meters.
Next for the team are the Landmark Championships on May 2 and 3. Susquehanna will be the host school.
