SHIPPENSBURG, PA - The Juniata men's outdoor track and field team took on Shippensburg, West Chester and Dickinson athletes at the Shippensburg Invitational Wednesday. This was the first invitational hosted by Shippensburg at the Seth Grove Stadium.
Tyler Mandley (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona Area) placed fifth in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.98 seconds.
Three athletes broke into the top-10 in the 800-meter run. Matt Guetzlaff (Schnecksville, Pa. / Parkland) finished sixth, Gabriel Duran (Temple, Pa. / Oley Valley) in eighth and Conor Dimond (Summerhill, Pa. / Forest Hills) in tenth.
In the 3000-meter run, Jacob Krott (Temple, Pa. / Muhlenberg) came in fifth with a time of 9:45.27. Krott was followed by Ben Martin (New Holland, PA / Garden Spot) in sixth at 9:46.40. Jun Yi Liu (Beijing, China) took ninth in the 1500-meter run at 4:44.23.
Juniata's next meet is a two-day event at Widener University April 17-18.
