Top Times Set for Men’s Track at Frostburg

FROSTBURG, MD- The Juniata men's track and field team had several top 10 times at the Bobcat Invitational hosted by Frostburg State on Saturday. There were a total of 19 finishers that came in the top 10.

 

Tyler Mandley (Altoona, PA/Altoona Area) won two events on the day for the Eagles. He placed first in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 16.07. He was also first in the 400-meter hurdles in a final time of 57.21.

 

Matt Guetzlaff (Schnecksville, PA/Parkland) won the 1500-meter run in 4:19.75. Conor Dimond (Summerhill, PA/Forest Hills) (4:23.94) was third and Jacob Krott (Temple, PA/Muhlenberg) (4:31.86) came in seventh. Guetzlaff also was third in the 800 meter run (2:05.71). Gabriel Duran (Temple, PA/Oley Valley) (2:12.41) placed 10th.

 

The 400-meter dash saw AJ Hutchison (Loveland, CO/Greeley Central) come in seventh (54.51). Trevor Stephens (Bethesda, MD/Bethesda-Chevy Chase) (55.07) was ninth and Ryan Mull (Reston, VA/WT Woodson) was right behind him in 10th (55.68). Jaie Johnson (Reading, PA/Reading) had the fourth-fastest time in the 100-meter dash (11.55).

 

In field events, J.R. Hemminger (Somerset, PA/Somerset) came in first in the pole vault. He had a winning measure of 3.94 meters.

 

Andrew Paterno (Waynesboro, PA/Waynesboro) had three third-place results. He had a 12.65 meter toss in the shot put, a 40.44 meter throw in the hammer throw, and a 37.84 measurement in the discus throw. Garrett Lavelle (Eden, NY/Eden) was fourth (37.02) in that event and Bryan Dupes (Elverson, PA/ Agora Cyber Charter School) was ninth (31.65).

 

Jon Atland (York, PA/Central York) was fourth in the javelin with a throw of 41.34 meters. Nathan Chavis (Palmyra, PA/Palmyra) was fifth in the triple jump with a leap of 12.02 meters.
