SELINSGROVE, Pa. – The Juniata men's tennis team defeated Susquehanna 8-1 in conference competition. The Eagles record improves to 7-1 overall and 5-0 in the conference.
Dean Polisena (Adelaide, Australia/Saint Ignatius) and Roy Liberman (Montevideo, Uruguay/EIHU) took first doubles 8-4. The duos of Matyas Kohout (Prague, Czech Republic/Gymnasium Jizni Mesto) and Owen Grafe (Newton, Mass./Marple Newton) and Dan Ansel (Lancaster, Pa./Manheim Township) and Jason Gerber (Commack, NY/Commack High School) also took their matches in doubles play.
In singles, Polisena defeated his opponent in the first spot by a score of 6-0, 6-1. Liberman came out with a victory in second singles with Kohout and Daichi McAuliffe-Uch (Wantage, NJ/High Point Regional HS) both coming out on top in their matches as well. Grafe also came away from the day with a victory in sixth singles (6-0, 6-2).
The Eagles play at home on Friday, April 28, at 2:30pm against Goucher.
