Men’s Tennis Handles Susquehanna To Remain Unbeaten in the Landmark

SELINSGROVE, PA- For the second straight year, the Juniata men's tennis team has gone undefeated in Landmark Conference play. The Eagles knocked off Susquehanna 9-0 on Tuesday afternoon to improve to 12-4 overall and 8-0 in the conference.

 

In doubles play, Dean Polisena (Adelaide, Australia/Saint Ignatius) and Matyas Kohout (Krhanice, Czech Republic/Gymnasium Jizni Mesto) won 8-0 at first doubles as did Sho Sato (Shiga, Japan/Kansai Gaidai University) and Logan Moore (Chadds, Ford, PA/Unionville) at second doubles. Sam Brumbagh (Perkasie, PA/Pennridge) and Kyle Salage (Blakeslee, PA/Pocono Mountain West) teamed up for the first time this season and won 8-3.

 

Brumbaugh and Salage also won their first singles matches of the season. Brumbaugh won 7-6, 6-4 at fourth flight over Chib Onwunaka. Salage was a victor at sixth singles with a 6-1, 6-4 triumph. Also picking up his first win of the season was Clarence Yeung (Hong Kong, China/St. Joseph College) at fifth singles with a 7-6, 6-1 victory.

 

Juniata will host Stevenson this Friday at Raffensberger Court. The start of the match will be at 3 p.m.
