Men’s Tennis Knocks Off PSU-Harrisburg

MIDDLETOWN, PA- The men's tennis team played Penn-State Harrisburg in a non-conference match on Thursday afternoon. The Eagles took first and second doubles and 1-4 singles on their way to a 6-3 victory.

 

The pair of Dean Polisena (Adelaide, Austraila/St. Ignatius) and Matyas Kohout (Krhanice, Czech Republic/Gymnasium Jizni Mesto) won their fourth straight doubles match with an 8-0 decision over Chris Magee and Mitch Ebersole. Sho Sato (Shiga, Japan/Kansai Gaidai University) and Logan Moore (Chadds Ford, PA/Unionville) improved to 8-6 on the season with an 8-3 win at second singles.

 

In singles play, Kohout picked up his fourth consecutive second singles victory with a 6-2, 6-0 triumph over Johnny Xue. Sato also won his fourth straight at third singles as he defeated Ebersole 6-3, 6-3.

 

The Eagles return to Landmark Conference play with a match against Drew on Saturday. Start time will be at 1 p.m.
