Men’s Tennis Dominates Scranton

HUNTINGDON, PA- The Juniata men's tennis team hosted Scranton in a Landmark Conference match on Sunday. The Eagles dropped only one set overall on their way to a 9-0 victory.

 

In doubles play, the closest decision went to Sho Sato (Shiga, Japan/Kansai Gaidai University) and Logan Moore (Chadds Ford, PA/Unionville). The pair defeated Matt Prendergast and Michael Pottleger 8-6.

 

Moore had a tough battle at fifth singles. He won the first set 6-2 before falling in the second set 6-2 to Ryan Bair. Moore rebounded in the deciding third frame as it went to a super tiebreaker with a 10-7 win. He improves to 9-5 overall on the season.

 

Juniata will play Penn State-Harrisburg in a non-conference match on Tuesday. Start time will be at 4 p.m.
