WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Juniata College men's tennis team made a clean sweep of dual match action by finishing out with a 6-3 win over Catholic University of America. The Eagles are now 5-0 on the year and 1-0 in Landmark Conference play.

Senior Justin Wisniewski (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) continued his strong start to the season, earning his fifth win of the week by taking No. 4 singles 6-1, 6-3. Freshman Dean Polisena (Adelaide, Australia/Saint Ignatius) capped off his week as the reigning Landmark Player of the Week with a come-from-behind win at No. 1 singles, winning the final set 7-6 in a 7-0 tiebreak.

Polisena and doubles partner sophomore Logan Moore (Chadds Ford, Pa./Unionville) took an 8-4 win together at No. 2 doubles. Moore also won his singles match in come-from-behind fashion taking the No. 5 spot 4-6, 6-1, 6-1.

The combination of senior Elliott Perow (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area) and sophomore Mike Lifshitz (Worcester, Mass./Worcester Academy) had a dominating 8-0 win at No. 3 doubles for the pairs' fourth win of the year. Lifshitz capped off the match with a 6-4, 6-2 win at the No. 6 singles position.

The Eagles will stay on the road for the next two weeks with matches against U.S. Merchant Marine Academy and Hunter College before opening the home season Mon., March 24, at 3:30 p.m. against Lycoming College.
