HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata College men's tennis team gave a solid performance at the Intercollege Tennis Association (ITA) Regional Championships, Sept. 27-29, in Fredericksburg, Va. The Eagles finished the weekend with seven wins in singles competition and four doubles wins.

Senior Justin Wisniewski (Moorestown, N.J./Moorestown) reached the semi-finals of the Blue 3 draw with wins over Bridgewater (Va.) and Ursinus. In the Blue 6 draw, sophomore Logan Moore (Chadds Ford, Pa./Unionville) dropped his first match, but rebounded with three straight victories to win the consolation finals.

In double play, senior Elliott Perow (Huntingdon, Pa./Huntingdon Area) and freshman Dean Polisena (Adelaide, Australia/Saint Ignatius) won the programs first ever match in the championship doubles draw. Perow also reached the semi-finals of the Blue 5 singles. In the Blue 1 draw, sophomore Bryan Gregory (Glen Mills, Pa./Garnet Valley) and Wisniewski gave a very strong performance, reaching the finals before falling to Salisbury 9-8.

The Eagles will be back in action in January when they begin their championship season.
