Eagles Conquered by Wolves

Eagles Conquered by Wolves

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- Juniata Men's Lacrosse hosted the Keuka College Wolves on Tuesday and lost by a score of 16-6.

Keuka took control of the cross-conference matchup early, but not without resistance from Juniata. After taking a 2-0 lead, sophomore attacker Beaux Wojciechowski got the Eagles back into it, scoring off of an Aiden Duran assist. That 2-1 lead was doubled, and the Wolves led 4-2 at the end of the first quarter after Wojciechowski assisted junior defenseman Charlie Newman with 3:36 left in the period.

Keuka surged forward and doubled their goal total to lead by an 8-2 margin at the halftime break.

Wojciechoswki got his second goal of the day on a Brandon Simonini assist to open the second half before assisting Newman on two more goals for the Eagles in a close back-and-forth third period which brought the game to a 10-5 scoreline heading into the final period.

Keuka took command of the game, scoring six unanswered goals, before senior Kolton Black added a consolation goal with under two minutes left in the contest, making the final 16-6. Ryan Madison and Justin Toney split time between the pipes for the Eagles and accumulated 13 saves combined.

The Eagles will look to bounce back at home again on Saturday at 3:00 p.m. when they face the Randolph College Wanda Wildcats.
