2012-13 Season-in-Review: Field HockeyJuly 02, 2013HUNTINGDON, Pa. – In her 15th season at the helm of the Juniata College women’s field hockey team, head coach Caroline Gillich reached the 300 game milestone and led the Eagles to a .500 season at 9-9 overall and 3-3 in the Landmark Conference. This is the fourth straight year Juniata has finished over .500 and eighth time in the past 10 years. The Eagles placed four on all-conference teams, earned five weekly honors and saw a senior walk away a Big Five winner.

Juniata Recognizes Big Five at 17th Annual Athletics Awards NightMay 06, 2013HUNTINGDON, Pa. - Juniata College Athletics reviewed its year in sports and acknowledged the accomplishments of its student-athletes at the 17th Annual Athletic Awards Night. Held Sunday night on campus, the event also recognized the departments “Big Five”, the top five senior student-athletes who have made incredible contributions not only to their respective sports, but the institution as a whole over the course of their four years.

Phillips Recognized Nationally for Outstanding PlayOctober 30, 2012HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Senior Caroline Phillips (Wilmington, Del./Concord) of the Juniata field hockey team received her second honor of the week when Synapse Sports placed her on their weekly honor roll. The organization acknowledges top field hockey student-athletes from across the country. The midfielder was one of 13 recognized from NCAA Division III for her outstanding play last week.

Eagles Play Spoiler on Senior Day, Down Scranton 5-4 in OTOctober 28, 2012HUNTINGDON, Pa. – After the University of Scranton dashed the Eagles hopes of making the Landmark Conference Tournament, Juniata field hockey (9-9, 3-3 Landmark) returned the favor by defeating the Royals 5-4 in overtime Sunday afternoon at home. Scranton (11-6, 4-2 Landmark) said goodbye to its chances at hosting the postseason tournament, dropping from the No. 1 seed to the third place team.

Dahmus Hat Trick Leads Juniata to 5-4 Double-OT Upset of DrewOctober 20, 2012HUNTINGDON, Pa. – Junior Emma Dahmus (Hummelstwn, Pa./Lower Dauphin) picked up her first collegiate hat trick to help lead the Juniata field hockey team to a 5-4 double overtime win against Landmark Conference rival Drew University Saturday afternoon. The Eagles (7-9, 2-3 Landmark) handed Drew (11-4, 4-1) its first conference loss of the season.

Senior Janelle Howard picked up a career-high 14 saves but could not stop the Cardinals (9-4, 4-0 Landmark) from remaining undefeated in league play.
