Matt Young enters his fourth year as an assistant coach at Juniata College in the 2018-19 season.
Young, a social studies teacher at Mount Union Area High School, was also the head football coach at MUAHS in 2014 and 2015. Before coaching at Mount Union, he was the assistant baseball coach at Huntingdon Area High School in 2010 and 2013.
During his playing days at Mansfield University, Young was a four-time PSAC scholar athlete and named team captain during the 2008-09 seasons. In 2008, he was named to the PSAC All-Conference team. That summer, Young and the Kutztown Rockies baseball team became ACBL Summer League champions.
Young currently lives in Huntingdon, Pa. with his wife Anita and daughter Mia.
