HUNTINGDON, Pa. - The Landmark Conference has released its 2013 Spring Academic Honor Roll and 29 Juniata College student-athletes have made the cut. The Eagles are of at least sophomore status and have maintained a 3.2 cumulative GPA while competing in their respective sports. Among the recipients are 10 all-conference selections and four Landmark Champions.
HUNTINGDON, Pa. - Juniata College baseball saw two Eagles named to Landmark All-Conference teams Wednesday. Junior Joe Sforza (Pittstown, N.J./Immaculata) earned first-team honors while fellow junior Dan Gray (Johnstown, Pa./Richland) was named to the second-team, respectively. This is the first Landmark postseason honor for each Eagle.

HUNTINGDON, Pa. - Juniata College baseball rallied late to earn the split against Penn State Altoona Wednesday afternoon. The Eagles dropped game one 7-3 before coming from behind to win game two 5-4 in nine innings. Senior Ben Mersky (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) hit the walk-off single to center that helped the Eagles improve to 9-21 this season. Altoona is now 10-20 on the year.
HUNTINGDON, Pa. â Senior Ben Mersky (Hershey, Pa./Hershey) of the Juniata College baseball team was named Landmark Conference Player of the Week, the league announced Monday. Mersky helped lead the Eagles to a 3-2 week including a series win over conference rival Drew University. He is the 12th Eagle to receive the honor all-time and first for Juniata this year.
MADISON, N.J. â The Juniata College baseball team swept Landmark Conference rival Drew University Saturday afternoon to improve to 8-15 overall, 4-6 against league opponents. An explosive first inning led to a 12-3 win in game one for Juniata. The Eagles then went on to earn the 7-0 win in game two.
STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The Juniata College baseball team bounced back from a tough loss Tuesday by routing Penn State Altoona 19-5 Wednesday afternoon at Medlar Field. The run total is the highest Juniata has scored since beating Susquehanna 20-9 at the end of last season. Juniata hasn’t defeated an opponent by 14 runs or more since 2010. The Eagles defense held Penn State Altoona scoreless for six innings to improve to 6-15 overall.
HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata College baseball team split its doubleheader against Landmark Conference rival Catholic University Friday afternoon on Langdon-Goodale Field. Juniata (5-13, 2-5 Landmark) dropped game one 8-0, but rallied to defeat the Cardinals 2-0 in the nightcap. Catholic moved to 16-8 overall, 5-3 in league play.
