Coley Tabbed First Team All-America, Foley and Rousset-Hernandez Named to Second Team, Podolan Garnered Honorable Mention

LEXINGTON, Ky.- Four members of the Juniata women's volleyball team were named to AVCA All-American teams. Middle hitter Mackenzie Coley was named a First Team All-American. Setter Olivia Foley and libero Kiona Sky Rousset-Hernandez were named Second Team All-America., while outside hitter Lily Podolan earned Honorable Mention.

Coley was named to the AVCA All-America First Team for the first time in her career after being named AVCA Region V Player of the Year and placing on the All-Region First Team. She earns the 50th First-Team Certificate for the program, is the 32nd player to place on the First Team, and she becomes the 46th player to place as an All-American for the Eagles. Coley holds the Landmark Conference's best hitting percentage at .399, the twelfth-best hitting percentage in DIII volleyball. She's collected 273 kills, 28 aces, 23 digs, and a team-high 80 total blocks and 0.79 per set, the third-best rate in the Landmark Conference. Coley placed on the All-Tournament Team for the Huntingdon, Pa. Regional of the NCAA DIII Women's Volleyball Tournament after posting 27 kills, a .489 hitting percentage, three solo blocks, and ten block assists. She made the All-Landmark Conference First Team while also being named the Conference's Player of the Year. She was named MVP of the Landmark Conference Championship Tournament with 28 kills, one ace, a .434 hitting percentage, and four block assists. Coley was also named Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week for women's volleyball twice this season (9-20, 10-10).    

Foley was named to the AVCA All-American Second Team for the second consecutive season. She earned the 23rd Second Team certificate for Juniata. She was also named to the All-Region V Team for the second consecutive season after collecting Regional Freshman of the Year honors in 2021. She holds the sixth-best rate for assists per set rate (10.66) in DIII volleyball while also leading the conference in that figure. She has collected 853 assists, 58 kills, 24 aces, 197 digs, and 18 blocks. As a setter, she contributed to an offense that has posted the third-best hitting percentage in DIII volleyball at .271.  She was named MVP for the Huntingdon, Pa. Regional of the NCAA DIII Women's Volleyball tournament after posting 104 assists, 11 kills, a .429 hitting percentage, three aces, 12 digs, and a block assist. Foley placed on the Landmark Conference First Team for the second consecutive season. She won Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week on October 24th.   

Rousset-Hernandez was named to the AVCA All-American Second Team for the first time in her career after earning Honorable Mention honors in 2021. She earns the 24th Second Team certificate for Juniata and becomes the 21st player to earn a Second Team certificate. She also made her second appearance on the AVCA Region V All-Region Team this season. The libero has made the second-most digs per set in the Landmark Conference with 5.25 per set, the 37th-best rate in DIII volleyball. She has contributed to a defense that has kept the second-lowest opponent hitting percentage in DIII volleyball with a .063 opponent hitting percentage. Rousset-Hernandez has the most aces for the Juniata with 67, while she has the best rate for aces per set (.63) in the Landmark Conference with .63 per set. She has totaled 92 assists, 556 digs, and five kills. She placed on the All-Tournament team for the Huntingdon, Pa. Regional of the NCAA DIII Women's Tournament after totaling nine aces and 37 digs. Rousset-Hernandez was named Landmark Conference Specialist of the Year while also placing on the All-Conference Second Team for the second consecutive season.  

Podolan was named an AVCA All-American Honorable Mention. Podolan also placed on the All-Region First Team for Region V. She has the fifth-best hitting percentage in the Landmark Conference (.319), the fourth-highest kills per set in the conference (3.28), a team-high 312 kills, three assists, 41 digs, and 40 total blocks. Podolan had 28 kills, a .545 hitting percentage, three digs, two block assists, and an ace in the three matches the Eagles played in the Huntingdon, Pa. Regional of the NCAA Tournament. She placed on the Landmark Conference All-Conference First Team for the first time and was named Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week on October 3rd. 

The Eagles play Hope in the Elite Eight of the NCAA Tournament at 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 16, at the UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse on the campus of Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pa.
