Foley, Rousset-Hernandez, Taylor Receive All-America Honors

LEXINGTON, Ky.- Juniata women's volleyball standouts Olivia Foley (Coldwater, Mich / Coldwater HS)Kiona Sky Rousset-Hernandez (Rio Grande, Puerto Rico / Colegio Bautista de Carolina HS) and Victoria Taylor (Middletown, Del. / Delaware Military Academy) were all named American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-Americans.  

Taylor and Foley were named to the second team while Rousset-Hernandez received honorable mention.  

Taylor has racked up the accolades as she put together a terrific campaign so far for the Eagles as a consistent threat to terminate a ball every time she takes a swing. She was twice named Landmark Athlete of the Week, was named to the Landmark All-Conference First Team and Landmark Player of the Year, along with picking up AVCA All-Region recognition. She also was named to the Rochester Institute of Technology Regional All-Tournament Team this past weekend. Taylor appeared in 26 matches and 82 sets for the Blue and Gold. She has amassed 309 kills while hitting .316 to go with 69 digs and 27 total blocks. This is her third time receiving All-American accolades, as she was named to the second team as a sophomore and received honorable mention as a junior. 

Foley has quickly established herself as a force at the setter position in her first collegiate volleyball season as she adds another award to her locker. She was once named Landmark Athlete of the Week, was named to the Landmark All-Conference First Team while also being Landmark Rookie of the Year, and she made the AVCA All-Region team while also being named the AVCA Region Five Rookie of the Year. She also was named the Most Outstanding Player of the Rochester Institute of Technology Regional. Foley has totaled 1046 assists, 65 kills, 27 service aces, 322 digs, and 18 total blocks. Her 10.57 assists per set average are currently the 12th best in the country. 

Rousset-Hernandez has flourished at the libero position as she has anchored an Eagle defense that currently ranks third in the country in opponent hitting percentage at .082. Rousset Hernandez was named to the Landmark All-Conference Second Team, received AVCA All-Region honors and was named to the Rochester Institute of Technology Regional All-Tournament Team as she helped the Eagles advance to the Elite 8. She has totaled 524 digs, 107 assists, and 34 aces for Juniata so far this season. 

Juniata has had the most AVCA All-Americans as a program at 48 and the second most certificates with 81. 

Juniata will take on MIT in the Elite 8 Thursday at 1:30 EST.
