LANCASTER, Pa.- The Juniata women's track and field competed at Franklin & Marshall College for the second time this indoor season in the Blue and White Invitational. Olivia Barbacci set a new personal record in the 400-meter race, while Ashley Alfree sets a new-best mark in the high jump. 

Juniata competed in a pair of track events and a pair of field events. 

One Eagle apiece ran in the 200-meter dash and 400-meter race. 

Olivia Barbacci competed in the 400-meter event finishing in 5th place with a time of 1:04.37. It's a new personal record on her second attempt, as she reduced her previous best by 3.80 seconds set at the Moravian Indoor Meet at Lehigh's Rauch Fieldhouse. 

Ashley Alfree raced in the 200-meter dash, completing the event in 31.16 for a 30th-place result. 

On the field side, one competed in the high jump, and two competed in the pole vault. 

Alfree achieved a new personal-best mark in the high jump by eclipsing 1.40 meters on her third and final attempt to finish in fourth place of 14 competing. She improved on her 1.36-meter jump set at Houghton in December. 

Alfree also took part in the pole vault, finishing in eighth place of the 13 who attempted. She jumped 2.43 meters on her second attempt, 0.01 meters off her personal record set at the Moravian University Indoor Meet at Lehigh in January. Barbacci attempted to eclipse 2.58 meters but could not meet the mark in three attempts. 

The Eagles return to competition next Saturday, February 18th for the SU Tuneup at Susquehanna University. It's the last competition for Juniata before the Landmark Indoor Championships at Susquehanna on February 25th.
