TEMPE, AZ. - The Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) announced the 2021-22 Academic Team along with the ITA Scholar-Athletes. The Juniata women's tennis team received the team award, with all eight players named Scholar-Athletes. 

Maggie Ackley (Clearville, Pa. / Grier School), Olivia Cooley (Portland, Ore. / La Salle Catholic College Prep), Lana Dumnich (Dallastown, Pa. / Dallastown Area), Courtney Eller (Colver, Pa. / Central Cambria), Payton Kough (Fayetteville, Pa. / Chambersburg Career Magnet), Jamie Mahigel (Lewistown, Pa. / Mifflin County), Marilyn Ogof (Lake Ariel, Pa. / Western Wayne) and Shannon Snyder (Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Cumberland Valley) were all recognized as ITA Scholar-Athletes. 

To be named an ITA Scholar-Athlete, one must meet the following requirements:

• have a grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.00 scale) for the current academic year

To be named an ITA All-Academic Team, programs must meet the following requirements:

• have a team grade point average of 3.2 or above (on a 4.00 scale)
