ALTOONA, Pa. – The women's tennis team celebrated senior day in at the Summit Athletic Club Monday but came up short 5-2 against Penn College.
In doubles play, Jamie Mahigel (Lewistown, Pa. / Mifflin County) and Lana Dumnich (Dallastown, Pa. / Dallastown Area) lost 8-4 in first doubles, Olivia Cooley (Portland, Ore. / La Salle Catholic College Prep) and Courtney Eller (Colver, Pa. / Central Cambria) lost 8-4 in doubles play, and Shannon Snyder (Mechanicsburg, Pa. / Cumberland Valley) and Payton Kough (Fayetteville, Pa. / Chambersburg Career Magnet) won 8-6 in third doubles.
In singles play, Mahigel won in first singles play 6-3, 6-3, 7-10, and Eller lost 6-2, 6-1 in second singles. Third singles did not finish and the match ended Ogof was down 4-3 and fouth singles did not finish and the match ended when Dumnich was down 5-0. Snyder lost 6-0, 6-0 in fifth singles and Kough lost 6-2, 6-4 in sixth singles.
The Eagles travel to Moravian Saturday, April 23 to start at 1:00 pm.
