Kaleigh Dale is entering her fifth season as assistant coach for the Juniata women’s soccer program. She is a 2010 graduate of Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland where she was a four-year player for the Bobcats at either the midfield or forward position.

 

“Kaleigh is a very seasoned assistant coach,” said head coach Scott McKenzie. “I consider us to be very fortunate to have her with us. She knows the game very well and is mature from the graduate assistant process and from being out in the field for a year already. Kaleigh knows how to coach, she knows how to manage student-athletes, she understands expectation, and I expect her to be able to hit the ground running with the team.”

 

As a player, Herring competed in four Capital Athletic Conference championship games, finally winning the title her senior year in 2009, three Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) tournaments, and one NCAA tournament. After completing her undergraduate degree at Frostburg, majoring in Exercise and Sport Science, Herring stayed on campus as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach for two years while earning her masters degree in education. She also served as the assistant soccer coach at Fort Hill high school during that time.

 

“I’m very excited to be joining coach McKenzie’s staff,” said Dale. “I was really drawn to the reputation of Juniata women’s soccer and the overall tradition here on campus not only in athletics, but on the academic side as well.

 

After completing her Masters degree, Herring was hired as the assistant women’s soccer coach at Marietta College. While there, she acted as the interim head women’s soccer coach and conducted all daily operations and recruiting aspects of the program.

 

Dale is a certified personal trainer and has a strong passion for strength and conditioning. Originally from Perry Hall, Maryland, she graduated from North Harford High School.
