Women's Soccer Celebrates 10 Seniors Before Final Game of the Season

HUNTINGDON, Pa. – The Juniata women's soccer team fell to Catholic on Saturday 4-0 at Gibbel Stadium. The team was able to honor their ten seniors for their service to the program prior to kickoff. 

The Eagles let in a goal in the first five minutes of the game against the Cardinals. Trying to fire back, Grace Gibbs (Arnold, Md. / Broadneck HS) took a shot in the sixth minute. The Eagles were only able to get off that one shot and were dominated 7-1 in shots after the first half. 

JC faced an aggressive second half from the Cardinals as they struck three times late in the second half. Catholic scored thrice in five minutes as they converted in the 77th, 78th, and 82nd minutes of the game.

Colleen O'Brien (Collegeville, Pa. / Perkiomen Valley) took a shot in the 49th minute, followed by a shot from Helen Chavez (Stroudsburg, Pa. / Stroudsburg HS) in the 52nd minute. Aleya Eisenberg (Newville, Pa. / Big Spring HS) tried to find the back of the net in the 62nd minute, and Emma Greggo (Pen Argyl / Pen Argyl Area HS) had an attempt in the 66th minute. 

Avery Zales (Montoursville, Pa. / Montoursville Area HS) made four saves throughout the game, and Gianna Canale (Egg Harbor City, N.J. / Cedar Creek High School) made two saves during her time in the second half.
