HUNTINGDON, Pa. - The women's soccer team traveled to Susquehanna on Wednesday for a night game but fell 3-0 against the River Hawks.
The River Hawks fired off 12 shots in the first half and scored in the 38th minute. Cati Besch (Bellefonte, Pa. / Bellefonte Area HS) faced four shots and made three saves to hold the game 1-0 at halftime.
Susquehanna tallied another goal four minutes into the second half. The River Hawks scored their third goal off a penalty kick after an Eagle handball in the box in the 70th minute.
With scoring intentions, Alyssa Bui (Cherry Hill, N.J. / Cherry Hill High School East) booted a shot from outside the box in the 81st minute, but the Susquehanna defense blocked it. Besch made three more saves in the second half.
The women's soccer team travels to Moravian on Saturday, October 16, for a 1:00 pm game.
