Goodrich Named Landmark Offensive Athlete of the Week

Goodrich Named Landmark Offensive Athlete of the Week

TOWSON, Md.- Juniata women's lacrosse midfielder Peyton Goodrich earned her second career Landmark Conference Athlete of the Week award, as she was named Offensive Athlete of the Week. She joins Defensive Athlete of the Week Grace Gibbs in completing Juniata's second sweep of the awards this season.

Goodrich provided key goal involvements in a pair of crucial home Landmark Conference wins over (15-14) Susquehanna on Wednesday and Goucher (17-2) on Saturday, keeping Juniata third in the Landmark Conference standings. They are 2.5 games ahead of the playoff bubble with four games to play as the Eagles look to secure the program's first Landmark Conference playoff berth.

Over the two games, Goodrich totaled ten goals, two assists, six ground balls, 12 draw controls, and five caused turnovers. Down 13-12 in the fourth period, a pair of goals from Goodrich within two minutes of each other put Juniata back in front as the Eagles held a narrow advantage to the victory.

The Juniata women's lacrosse team has a pair of away days this week: Wednesday, they travel to Lycoming, and Saturday, they travel to top-of-conference Catholic.
