Twelve Eagles Score in Big Win Over Lancaster Bible

HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata women's lacrosse team dominated visiting Lancaster Bible in their final home game of the season, 25-0, Wednesday afternoon at Gibbel Stadium. 

Kyndall Yeager scored four goals with an assist, while Kelliann Drummond scored three times while adding two assists, two ground balls, a draw control, and a caused turnover. Skyler Stevens tallied two goals and two assists with two ground balls, while Shannon Para had two goals and two assists to go with a ground ball and a caused turnover. Gwen DeLeva totaled two goals & two assists, while Michaela Naccarini had three goals and an assist. Grace Gibbs had two goals, two assists, three ground balls, five draw controls, and four caused turnovers. Peyton Goodrich had three goals, an assist, two ground balls, 12 draw controls, and a caused turnover. The 12 draw controls are the most in a single game in program history. Shayla Lapp had a goal, two assists, two ground balls, and two draw controls, while Aspen Handle had a goal and assist two ground balls, and a caused turnover. Devyn Mauger netted one goal to go with a ground ball, while Maeve Kuser added a goal, three ground balls, and three caused turnovers. Caoilinn Heatley made three saves in goal to earn the third shutout in program history.

Nine different Eagles scored in the first quarter, with Yeager and Goodrich netting twice as the Eagles came soaring out of the gates with 11 first quarter goals.

Three more followed in the second, with Gibbs scoring off a feed from Goodrich, Drummond scoring off a Lapp pass, and Yeager finding the back of the net off a pass from Para, sent JC into halftime ahead 14-0. 

Juniata would score 11 more in the second half, and Heatley made two saves to ensure the 25-0 win.  

This is the third shutout in program history, with the last one at Chatham last season, where JC won 17-0. The other shutout was back in 2018 at Cedar Crest (13-0).  

Juniata will wrap up their regular season on the road at Drew Saturday at 1:00.
