NASHVILLE, TN.- The Eagles took on the Wittenberg Tigers on Thursday afternoon resulting in a 69-44 loss for Juniata in the Music City Classic at Trevecca Nazarene University. 

The Eagles stayed within shouting distance of the Tigers in the first half, trailing by nine at 30-21 as the teams returned to their respected locker rooms.

The Eagles could not keep the deficit within single digits when they returned to the court as Wittenberg won the third quarter 16-9 as they led 46-30 after three

The Tigers ran away with it in the fourth as they had their highest-scoring quarter to send Juniata home with the loss, 69 44. 

Haily Sherman (Marysville, Pa. / Susquenita High School) and Averie Hess (Jersey Shore, Pa. / Jersey Shore) led the Eagles with nine points apiece, with Steph Emert (Hoovesville, Pa. / North Star High School) chipping in with eight off the bench. 

After their long trip back to Huntingdon, the Eagles will play at home once again on Wednesday, January 5th as  they host La Roche with a tip-off time of 7:00 pm.
