TOWSON, Md.- The Landmark Conference has announced Jessie Hunt as the Athlete of the Week for softball as the Juniata softball team went 3-3 on the week to open the 2023 season.
Hunt posted a .600/.667/.800 line on the week, going 9-for-15 with seven RBIs, three doubles, two walks, three runs, and a stolen base. She posted two RBIs in each of Juniata's victories this week, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs against Penn State Harrisburg in the 10-1 win, 3-for-3 with a double, a walk, and two RBIs in game one against Averett, and 2-for-3 with two runs, a walk, and the 2 RBIs in game two against Averett.
The Juniata softball team opens the week at Shenandoah tomorrow before playing two doubleheaders at West End Field this week. They first face Saint Vincent on Wednesday before hosting Elizabethtown on Saturday to open Landmark Conference play.
