HUNTINGDON, Pa.- The Juniata softball team had eight student athletes named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) for the 2017-18 academic year.

Those recognized were Allie Baney (State College, Pa. / State College Area), Jennifer Carthew (New Paris, Pa. / Chestnut-Ridge HS), Ashley Clark (Saxton, Pa. / Tussey Mountain), Alyssa Fasolo (Altoona, Pa. / Altoona Area HS), Alicia Regnault (Bridgewater, N.J. / Bridgewater Raritan), Brooke Ridenour (Thurmont, Md. / Catoctin), Alyssa Shedlock (State College, Pa. / State College), and Molly Ulrich (Homer, N.Y. / Homer Central). 

31 Landmark softball student-athletes earned scholar-athlete honors, while three programs were ranked on the academic team. Juniata College led the way in the rankings at No. 46 with a team GPA of 3.43, followed by Moravian College in 51st, posting a team GPA of 3.42. Elizabethtown College rounded out the Landmark teams in 66th with a team GPA of 3.35.
