TOWSON, MD.- Freshman outfielder Alyssa Shedlock (State College, Pa./State College) was named the Landmark Softball Player of the Week, it was announced by the conference today. This is the first weekly honor of her career.
Shedlock had a strong week for the Eagles as she batted .625. In the last four games, Shedlock had multiple hits in all four. In those contests, she batted .909 with two homers and two doubles. Against Scranton on Sunday, Shedlock was 5-for-6 with a double and a homerun, five runs scored, and two batted in as Juniata swept the Royals for the first time since 2009. In the field, she was a perfect 8-of-8 on the week.
On the season, Shedlock leads the Eagles with a .422 batting average. She is also the team leader in hits (19), runs (16), RBIs (15), and homeruns (2).
